I flew back
down to Ft. Meyers in February to check on the boat. I hung out a few days and picked up a VW
Jetta for Josh then drove home.
I flew back
down in March to check on the boat and help out Kerm Wold. He had a stoke while on his boat in the
Bahamas and he need a place to stay stateside for a couple of weeks. I sent him a key overnight but to the wrong
address so Sabrina from the Marina was kind enough to climb in the boat through
a window (at my request) to let Kerm and his wife Chris in. The two of them
stayed on the boat for a couple of days and then Chris headed back to the
Bahamas. I showed up the next day to
make sure Kerm was not being left along while he recovered.
I looked
around for a new vehicle and found a 2001 Chevy conversion van with 34,000
miles on it that I purchased. On Saturday March Kerm’s brother in law, Joe
Hauser (who lives near by) called Kerm and said “Let’s go to Sebring!” So off we went on a short road trip with my
new van. On Tuesday I started the drive home.
