Busy Friday at Cape Fear Marina November 18th, 2011

Okay friends and family, we are getting close.  Very close. The van is fixed!  With all the work they did on her it was very reasonable.  It should run well on our trip back to Minnesota in a month.

So with things looking like a tomorrow cast off, Missy started preparing our itinerary.
What do you think of the view from our new office?

Here is a close look at our neighbor's 2 Million Dollar Boat:

I decided to go over some mechanical components just to make sure everything was shipshape and discovered problems with the forward and aft bilge pumps.  That meant a last minute run to West Marine after picking up the van and then some late night repairs.

I had replaced some of the batteries earlier in the day so I have every reason to expect the boat to start.

I put some time in learning my new Garmin Chartplotter so I may actually know where I am going?

It will be an adventure!

Cape Fear Marina was a great place to start out.  The people were super nice but it is time to cast off the bow lines and head into the wind.  Stay tuned........
